The B850-F covers the reasons anyone buys a mid-range board at all: processor power delivery with margin, fast storage, and networking that does not need a separate card.
A 14+2+1 phase power stage carries a 9800X3D comfortably and leaves headroom for future AM5 processors. AMD has committed to socket AM5 through 2027, so this board should outlive at least one and more likely two processor upgrades.
